Caddy Movers App — Privacy Policy

Last Updated: May 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Caddy Moving Inc. ("Caddy," "we," "us," or "our"), a Delaware corporation, collects, uses, shares, and protects information about independent contractor movers ("you" or "Movers") who use the Caddy Moversmobile application (the "App").

This policy applies only to Movers using the Caddy Movers App. If you are a customer hiring movers through Caddy, a separate policy applies to you, available at caddymoving.com/policies/privacy-policy.

By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Summary for Busy Movers

In plain English: We collect your name, photo, phone number, and driver's license to verify who you are and match you with jobs. While you're working a job, we share your first name, profile photo, and phone number with the customer so the move runs smoothly. Your bank account and tax info live with our payments processor (Dots) — not us. We never sell your data. We do use Google Analytics and Google Ads tags to measure how the App is used and to recruit other Movers like you — California Movers can opt out (see Section 7). You can email us anytime at support@caddymoving.com to get a copy of your data or delete your account.

1. Who This Policy Covers

The Caddy Movers App is a workforce tool for independent contractors (1099) who perform moving services arranged through Caddy. It is not intended for customers or for the general public. You must be at least 18 years old to use the App.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information directly from you, automatically through your use of the App, and from third-party service providers who help us operate.

Personal Information You Provide

The App may request access to your device camera to capture your profile photo, driver's license, and job-site documentation. You can grant or revoke camera access at any time through your device settings; revoking access may prevent you from completing certain App features such as identity verification or job walkthroughs.

Device and Technical Data

When you use the App, we automatically collect:

Financial Data

Payouts to Movers are processed by Dots, our third-party payments processor. Sensitive financial details — including bank account numbers, debit card details, and Social Security numbers used for tax reporting — are collected and stored directly by Dots, not by Caddy. The App displays payout status, history, and balances by reference, but we do not store your underlying bank or tax identifier information on our systems. Dots' handling of this information is governed by Dots' own privacy policy.

Usage Data

Communications Data

To coordinate a job, your phone number may be shared with the customer so you and the customer can call or text each other directly. We treat this as a necessary part of providing the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

We do notsell your personal information, and we do not build profiles of you for the marketing purposes of unrelated third parties. Google Analytics and Google Ads tags in the App are used to measure how the App is used and to evaluate Caddy's own outreach to prospective Movers. See Section 7 for how this affects your California privacy rights.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share information only as needed to operate the service and meet our legal obligations. The categories of recipients are:

Customers

Your first name, profile photo, general service area, and (during an active job) your phone number may be shared with the customer who booked the move so the job can be coordinated and completed.

Service Providers

We use the following vendors to run the App. Each receives only the information necessary to perform its role and is contractually required to protect that information:

ProviderRole
SupabaseDatabase hosting and Mover authentication
DotsPayouts and tax-related collection
TelnyxSMS messaging
OpenPhoneVoice and SMS for dispatch and support
SentryError monitoring and crash reporting
VercelApplication hosting
AWS S3Storage for photos (selfies, license images, job-site photos)

Legal and Safety Disclosures

We may disclose information when we believe in good faith it is necessary to comply with a law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process; to enforce our agreements; to protect the rights, safety, or property of Caddy, our Movers, customers, or the public; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case Movers will be notified of any change in data ownership.

What We Don't Do

Note: Use of Google Analytics and Google Ads tags in the App may be considered "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under the California Privacy Rights Act. California Movers can opt out as described in Section 7.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as you have an active Mover account. After your account is deactivated, we retain your information for up to seven (7) years to comply with IRS and state tax recordkeeping requirements (which generally cover a three-to-seven-year lookback window depending on the issue), to handle insurance and customer disputes, and to satisfy other legal, accounting, and audit obligations. After that period, your information is deleted or anonymized, except where a longer retention period is specifically required by law.

Photos uploaded as part of job completion may be retained for the same period to support customer disputes, insurance claims, and quality review.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You can:

To exercise any of these rights, email support@caddymoving.com from the email address associated with your account. We will respond to verified requests within 45 days, or as otherwise required by applicable law. If we need more time, we will let you know.

7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you additional rights over your personal information. Specifically, you have the right to:

To exercise your California rights, email support@caddymoving.comwith the subject line "California Privacy Request." We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request, typically by confirming details associated with your Mover account. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, with appropriate written authorization.

The categories of personal information we collect, listed in California's statutory categories, include: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address); customer records (account information); commercial information (job history, bidding activity); internet or network activity (App usage, analytics, advertising identifiers); geolocation data (city- or metro-level only); professional information (1099 contractor status); and sensitive personal information (driver's license image and account credentials).

8. Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and restricted internal access to identity documents. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

9. Children's Privacy

The Caddy Movers App is for adults working as independent contractors. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact support@caddymoving.com.

10. International Users

The App is operated from the United States, and our service providers are primarily located in the United States. If you access the App from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top and, for material changes, provide notice through the App, by email, or by SMS. Your continued use of the App after a change becomes effective means you accept the updated policy.

12. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except where superseded by mandatory consumer protection laws of your state of residence (such as the CCPA/CPRA for California Movers).
